Download and extract the archive, then copy the .mdl files into your game's cstrike/models folder and confirm overwriting the existing files.

If your game uses a localized folder such as cstrike_russian, place the files there as well, because files in that folder have priority.

After copying, start the game and buy the XM1014 to check the new model.

Weapon models go into cstrike/models. The XM1014 uses three files: v_xm1014.mdl (first-person view), p_xm1014.mdl (in the player's hands) and w_xm1014.mdl (on the ground).

If the pack includes custom sounds, put them into cstrike/sound/weapons, and any sprites into cstrike/sprites.

• Make sure the files are in the correct folder: cstrike/models or cstrike_russian/models.
• Check that the file names match exactly, for example v_xm1014.mdl, with no extra text added.
• Confirm the model is made for Counter-Strike 1.6 and not for another game.
• Restart the game after copying the files.

On your own server or a server without consistency checks, the model will show for you.

On public servers, the server may replace your custom files with its own or kick you for a consistency error, so custom weapon models are not guaranteed to work online.

If you made a backup before replacing the files, copy the original v_xm1014.mdl, p_xm1014.mdl and w_xm1014.mdl back into cstrike/models.

Without a backup, delete the custom files and verify the game files through Steam to restore the originals.

• Remove the custom v_xm1014.mdl, p_xm1014.mdl and w_xm1014.mdl from cstrike/models.
• Restore your backup copies or verify the game files through Steam.
• Re-download the model from a different source, as the archive may be corrupted or made for a different game version.
